A Dream
A few nights ago I had a dream...I was photographing an event and noticed I was hobbling as I walked. I realized I was wearing 2 completely different shoes! The left shoe was dark in color and about an inch taller than the right. The right shoe was a white, dressy, open-toe style shoe.
I felt strongly there was a message in this dream, so I prayed about it. God instantly gave me a very clear answer! I believe this was a message for someone else out there.
Here is what I heard:
"You are walking closer to your breakthrough. The shoes you "were" wearing were uncomfortable. They were stylish, but this was really only to impress the world. They aren't really YOU. The new shoe on the "right" foot is dressy and nicer. A shoe you’d wear to church or worship. The heel is lower, meaning you are more grounded, more comfortable, and it is easier to “wear.” This shoe is clean and bright! It fits your foot perfectly. It does NOT match the old "shoe," old way of walking, how you carry or see yourself.
As you grow, I will give you the other matching shoe. It will be clear and obvious when you receive it and are able to put it on. It will fit your foot AND your path in a perfect way."
WOW! Can you relate to this? Are you subconsciously OR consciously living, doing things, acting in a way that you think you should to fit into a mold? Have you been doing this so long that it seems normal...but deep down you know you aren't being your authentic self?
Friend reading this, I know this struggle. The good news is we can all re-learn who we really are. It is never too late. No matter how many mistakes you've made, what you've been through, how lost you've felt. There is always a chance to start over, experience healing, and a new start.
It has become so clear to me as of late, that most people are stressed and unhappy because they aren't DOING what they were meant to DO and they aren't being who they truly are. When you care too much about fitting in, or how the world responds to you, you can never truly be yourself
Today you can start! Ask God for direction and get excited about that new pair of shoes. They were made just for you only!
And....when you wear them (and when I wear mine) we can live the most joyful, fulfilling lives just as God intended. 🩷
