FAQ

Where are you located?

I am based in the Lowcountry of SC, currently in the Charleston/Folly Beach area, but will travel down to Beaufort or up to Georgetown. There is a travel fee in areas outside of a 30 min drive from Charleston.

Is it okay if a friend comes to take photos too?

No please! Another person taking photos during the shoot is very distracting in the creative process so I have to keep this as a strict policy. If anyone is coming with you, please let them know this ahead of time. :) In my experience, people have better results if they come by themselves for the session. If someone does come with you be sure it is someone you are super comfortable with.

What time of day do you book sessions?

For outdoor shoots, light is best a few hours after sunrise and a few hours before sunset. Indoor shoots are best during the day from 10-4.

Will I need to clean my dress after a bridal portrait session?

Because sessions typically occur outside a climate-controlled environment, you should be prepared to spot-clean your dress after the portrait session.

Who pays location entry fees?

If there is a specific place you want to go and the venue or park charges a fee, the client is responsible for paying the venue entry fee. If the fee is per person, I will cover my own entry fee.

Do you photograph weddings?

I do not photograph weddings, but will consider a DAYTIME elopement. Contact me for details and pricing.

What should I wear?

Something you feel beautiful in! Don't pick clothes because you "think" you should wear them. Choose colors and items that are flattering and fit well. The more comfortable you are, the more relaxed you will look in your photos! Colorful, Solid fabrics photograph better than busy patterns. For full length photos, long flowy dresses, anything that adds color & movement, is always great!

Do you work on Sundays?

No but I work flexible hours Monday-Saturday.

When will I receive my photos?

You will receive a link to an online gallery with all of your edited photos within 2 weeks (sometimes less depending on my schedule).

Should I have my hair and makeup professionally done?

I highly recommend this! Just make sure it is someone who is experienced with makeup for portraits and won't "overdo" it. I recommend not using false eyelashes unless this is something you wear a good bit! You want to look like "you."
